Sadly this concert has been cancelled. The Orchestra is planning to be back with its regular Spring concert next year. Watch this space for details.
A Time for Music
For it's spring 2024 concert the Orchestra presented an exciting mix of light music. From Mozart's Overture to 'The marriage of Figaro' through Sullivan's 'Iolanthe' overture and Grieg's 'Peer Gynt Suit No. 1' to the film music of Howard Shore (Symphonic Suite from 'The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring') and much more there was something to please all tastes. The concert was conducted by David Anstice-Pim.

2022
Grand Christmas Charity Concert
After three years the Orchestra will be back with the Vauxhall Luton Male Voice Choir and guests The Parkside Singers to raise money for worthy local causes. This family-friendly programme will consist of a wide range of Christmas music and songs with carols for all to sing. This year the proceeds will go to The Ambulance Staff Charity

There are no concerts currently planned in 2021.
The Orchestra is however planning on restarting its normal programme of concerts from the spring of 2022.

Sadly, due mainly to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, the Orchestra has not been able to start rehearsing or to give any concerts in 2021. However the Orchestra is still very much alive and is looking forward to resuming rehearsals and putting on concerts as soon as circumstances permit. It is really hoped that a full programme of rehearsals and concerts can start in the spring of 2022. Look out for further details at the start of 2022.

There are no concerts currently planned in 2020
Sadly, due to the Coronavirus pandemic both our Spring and Autumn 2020 concerts have been cancelled. At the moment the Orchestra is not rehearsing and there are no plans to give any concerts for the remainder of this year. However, please watch this space for further information. The Orchestra is looking forward to resuming rehearsals and putting on concerts as soon as it is safe to do so.

Grand Christmas Charity Concert
Our Christmas Charity Concert raising money for worthy local causes. Christmas music and carols to sing for all the family. As usual we joined the Vauxhall Male Voice Choir and the Dunstable Priory Girls’ Choir, this year to raise money for NOAH Enterprise who offer hope and support to people struggling against homelessness and exclusion.

Our Autumn 2019 concert comprised the usual varied mix of light orchestral music and we welcomed back the Grand Union Community Choir as our guests. Concert highlights were a world premier by a local composer, a trombone solo, selections from the shows and a rousing ‘last night of the proms’ ending.

Our Spring 2018 concert comprised the usual varied mix of light orchestral music. We were delighted to welcome back the Linsdale Singers as our guests who last joined us in the Spring of 2015.

Once agan the Orchestra got together with the Vauxhall Male Voice Choir and the Dunstable Priory Girls’ Choir to raise money for worthy local causes. The family-friendly programme consisted of a wide range of Christmas music and songs with carols for all to sing. This year the proceeds went to Kids in Action – a Dunstable-based charity providing support and opportunities for children and young adults with Special Needs.

For our Autumn 2017 concert we were delighted to welcome back the Grand Union Community Choir as our guests. The concert featured a wide range of music from Bizet’s Carmen to a selection from The Sound of Music. The concert ended with some ‘last night of the proms’ favourites.

For our Autumn 2016 concert we welcomed for the first time as our guests the Grand Union Community Choir. The concert featured the Choral Suite from The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace by Karl Jenkins and the second half had a ‘last night of the proms’ flavour with all the usual favourites.
