Guest artistes:
The Orchestra is pleased to invite a wide variety of guest artistes to take part in their concerts. Here is a selection of those who have taken part recently.
- [2019 & 2017] Grand Union Community Choir – established in 2009 and based in Linslade, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, the Grand Union Community Choir is a non-audition, all embracing choir in which any adult who wants to sing is welcomed and valued.
- [2019] Caritas Harmony – a ladies' voice choir based in Luton, Bedfordshire. Founded in 2003, they perform a wide repertoire of music. Friendship and a love of singing remains at the heart of the choir's desire to raise funds for charity.
- [2017 and Christmas concerts] Vauxhall Male Voice Choir – a thriving Male Voice Choir, based in Luton, Bedfordshire, was formed in 1943 and their aim is to ensure that the wonderful tradition of male voice singing carries on well into the 21st Century. They sing all kinds of music including operatic choruses, show songs, sacred songs, spirituals, Welsh hymn tunes as well as Traditional Male Voice Choir standards.
- [2018 & 2015] Linsdale Singers – a choir of around 30 voices based in Leighton Buzzard, specialises in singing unaccompanied choral music. This established choir enjoys a reputation for high quality choral singing in the local area, but their reputation also spreads far beyond this as they have spent many successful weekends singing in British cathedrals and other churches.
