A Time for Music
The Orchestra’s Spring concert for 2023
The Orchestra’s Spring concert for 2023
Saturday 22nd April, 2023 at 7.30pm
From the dramatic overtures and marches of Franz Lehar (Merry Widow) and Fucik (Entry of the gladiators – you'll know it if you hear it!) to hits from much-loved musicals (Oklahoma!) and much more, this exciting concert celebrated the best of light music. The concert also celebrated the return of the Orchestra to its regular concerts after the enforced break from the Covid pandemic and was the first concert to be conducted by Stephen Bradley who was appointed just before the start of the Pandemic. The concert also included solo pieces on the organ.
