Saturday 13th April, 2019 at 7.45pm
Our Spring 2019 concert comprised the usual varied mix of light orchestral music. We were delighted to welcome the ladies of Caritas Harmony as our guests.
The very appreciative audience were treated to a spectacular selection of music from Fauré’s beautiful Cantique de Jean Racine to music from musicals and operettas. Both groups were able to show off their talents through their individual items, but were also able to wow the audience with some joint pieces – the Choir’s arrangement of ‘Bridge over troubled water’ being specially orchestrated for the concert.
All in all a very successful concert and it is hoped the Choir will be able to be the Orchestra’s guests for a future concert.
Tickets were £8 (under 16s £5) and were available at the door or in advance online.
